In 2012 Ursula was voted Best Newcomer at The British Awards for Storytelling Excellence. Background Ursula became a full time Storyteller, Performer, Writer and Educator in 2009 having been made a resident member of the Hebden Bridge based Shaggy Dog Storytellers in 2007. Prior to this she worked both nationally and internationally as an Actress in Film, Television, Theatre and Radio and as a workshop facilitator specialising in Shakespeare, Vocal Technique and Storytelling. Her portrayal of cancer stricken Alice Dingle has been showered with plaudits and could scoop her the most popular Actress gong in this weeks’ glitzy National Television Awards. Needless to say, Ursula has never looked back. She eats, breathes and sleeps her stories and excels in connecting others to their very essence. Ursula holds a BA Hons degree in Performance from St Martin’s College, full QTS and an MA in Contemporary Theatre Practice (specialising in Intercultural Storytelling) from the University of Lancaster. She also holds a PG Dip in Acting from the Drama Studio London, a Licentiate in Speech and Drama Education from the LAMDA and an Advanced Certificate in Singing from the RSM. She is fully DBS checked.
